🇬🇧 What is Present Tense?

Present Tense is used to talk about the present, habits, actions happening now, experiences and actions continuing up to the present.

🇮🇳 Present Tense क्या है?

Present Tense को हिंदी में वर्तमान काल कहते हैं। इसका प्रयोग वर्तमान समय, आदतों, अभी हो रहे काम और वर्तमान से जुड़े कामों के लिए किया जाता है।

📚 Four Present Tenses

Present Tense के चार प्रकार

Simple Present Tense

सामान्य वर्तमान काल
Subject + V1 / V1+s/es + Object

Use: Habits, routines, facts and general truths.

Example: I go to school every day.

मैं हर दिन स्कूल जाता हूँ।

Example: She reads a book.

वह किताब पढ़ती है।

Present Continuous Tense

अपूर्ण वर्तमान काल
Subject + am/is/are + V-ing + Object

Use: An action happening now.

Example: I am reading a book.

मैं किताब पढ़ रहा हूँ।

Example: They are playing cricket.

वे क्रिकेट खेल रहे हैं।

Present Perfect Tense

पूर्ण वर्तमान काल
Subject + has/have + V3 + Object

Use: A completed action connected with the present.

Example: I have finished my homework.

मैंने अपना गृहकार्य पूरा कर लिया है।

Example: She has eaten lunch.

उसने दोपहर का खाना खा लिया है।

Present Perfect Continuous

पूर्ण निरंतर वर्तमान काल
Subject + has/have been + V-ing

Use: An action that started in the past and is continuing.

Example: I have been studying for two hours.

मैं दो घंटे से पढ़ रहा हूँ।

Example: She has been working since morning.

वह सुबह से काम कर रही है।
